The family run ryokan gave us excellent service. They even had someone who spoke English, which was great. The French cuisine served for dinner was superb. The location was a bit of a walk from the train station, but it was worth it. We really enjoyed strolling through the woods, taking in the gorgeous scenery. The mountains were breathtaking, especially when they were lit up at night.
Honestly, there wasn't really anything we didn't like about our experience. Everything was great from start to finish.

The French dinner was delicious and beautifully presented. The owner took us to see fine mountain views at night. The staff, including Chiwa, were great too provide excellent service.
No negatives. The location is far from the train station but it provided a peaceful and scenic retreat.

Spent Easter at a lovely family-run ryokan. The staff went above and beyond in providing excellent service and were even able to communicate through English. The French cuisine for dinner was a wonderful surprise and delicious. The location was a bit off the beaten path but perfect for us as we enjoyed scenic walks in the surrounding area.
There were absolutely no negatives about our trip. We loved being able to unwind in the beautiful woods, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It was the perfect Easter getaway and we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

the staff went above and beyond, especially their niece, who even helped with translation. the location was secluded, but that's what made it special. We enjoyed leisurely walks through beautiful forests and scenic views of the mountains at night. the French cuisine for dinner was a highlight, and the service was exceptional. the traditional rooms were comfortable, and we appreciated the authentic Japanese design and comfortable bedding.
The hotel was quite far from the train station, which may be inconvenient for some travelers.
